Fabric, wool and haberdashery
In this series of workshops held on a monthly basis we will create a different patchwork block each month using fabrics of our own choosing. With each block you will learn and use a variety of techniques and skills.
At the end of the series we will fit all the blocks together like a jigsaw having quilted them in the ‘Quilt as you Go’ method to create a large lap sized quilt.
Level of Experience
This class is suitable for intermediate to advanced.
Materials / Equipment required by Attendees
It will only be as you work through the blocks that you will ascertain the various fabric quantities of your chosen theme and you may well want to introduce new designs as well as use up some existing scraps from home throughout the duration of this series of workshops.
As a start, select four different fabrics (fat quarters or similar) within a theme that can then form the basis for further additions as the months progress.
At each workshop you will need to bring all of your chosen range of fabrics which you will then select from to use in that month’s block.
