Fabric, wool and haberdashery
Smocking is an embroidery technique used to gather fabric so that it can stretch. Before elastic, smocking was commonly used in cuffs, bodices, and necklines in garments where buttons were undesirable.
In this one day workshop with Sally you will learn the basic techniques of smocking and start to make your own needle case or Christmas napkin rings from a kit. Prior to the workshop please advise your choice of item/s to make.
