Fabric, wool and haberdashery
Does this sound familiar? “No matter how hard I try I cannot get a good match of my seams. I diligently iron my seams open, pin my fabrics together, matching the joins but once sewn they never match up”
The Answer and the trick is not to press your seams open!
- Always iron to one side, with the sides being opposing so that when you match them together they ‘butt’ up against each other.
- Still pin your fabrics together before stitching and you should find that you achieve a much better ‘join’ or ‘joint.’
