Sewing Machine Service and Repair
Threads is an approved repairer under the Brother Warranty programme.
Service and repair operations on Brother Machines are carried out in house by a Brother trained engineer.
All other machines are serviced and repaired by a local experienced sewing machine engineer.
Bring your machine to the shop, and we will do the rest.
Our engineer can carry out service and repair operations on most makes of sewing machines.
Common issues experienced with sewing machines are:
• Sewing thread problems
• Needle alignment
• Bobbin problems
• Inconsistent Tension
• Skipped stitches
Many of these issues can be corrected by a service which may also extend the life of your sewing machine, or bring an old cherished machine back to life.
When you bring your machine in to the shop, we will take your contact details and make a note of any problems with the machine which may assist the engineer.
Following an initial assessment by our engineer, a more involved repair or parts may be required, in which case you will be contacted with a quote.
Due to the complex nature of computerised sewing machines and overlockers, we are unable to offer service and repair on these types of machine.
We understand sewing machines can be heavy. We have a car park immediately outside the shop and if you require assistance to carry your machine from your car in to the shop, please ask.
In some circumstances, local home collection and delivery can be arranged.
